Are You Blogging In Profit?

Automotive, Internet April 29th, 2008

Blogging is everywhere today. There are blogs on topics ranging from health, sports, haircuts, gerbils, international politics, marketing, poodles, rare cats, real estate, the weather and anything in between.

But are you blogging profitably?

If you’re looking to blog for a living or earn some extra cash, it’s rather simple… if you do it right.

What’s the right way?

Well one of the better ways to blog profitably is to blog in a niche.

You see, most bloggers are all over the place with their posts. They’ll write about many different topics depending on what’s on their mind. And that’s ok if profit isn’t the goal.

Who We Are

We attempt to live our lives without desire yet it is so much a part of being human. I have come to the conclusion desire is okay as long as what I desire doesn’t consume or control me. Getting what we want is not the most important thing and it should never be at the expense of someone else.

Celebration, Regret, And Remorse

Recreation and Sports April 17th, 2008

Recently, three events occurred that forced me to experience celebration, regret, and remorse. And as I thought about each one of them, I was able to draw a lesson from each one of them.

Celebration - My teammate, good friend and role model, Mike Fowler, gave an outstanding performance at the ADCC 2007. Mike was able to win two matches against two BJJ legends (Renzo Gracie and Saulo Riberio). This was an amazing accomplishment and I was very happy for and proud of Mike. The lesson here is Mike proves what hard work, commitment to a system, getting a coach, and actually listening to him (unlike me for many years) will do for you. Congrats Mike on an excellent performance and keep up the good work!

Criticism - An Unfortuante Part Of Success

Self Improvement March 25th, 2008

The controversy surrounding Barry Bonds’ pursuit of the all-time home run record is well documented. If you are not familiar with the affair, there are allegations that Bonds used performance enhancing drugs during his career. These drugs, according to many, gave him an unfair advantage that players in the past did not have. It is this belief that leads many to feel that Henry Aaron is still the home run champion.
