A Hillary supporter’s last gasp before acceptance!

Hillary is still my nominee, for I can not yet bring myself
to support Senator Obama. After supporting Senator Clinton for 18 months and
being a fan of her since she was First Lady ? I just can’t let go right
now.  It will take some time ? some time
for a lot of the 18 million people who voted for her.

I believe that after her speech today, more people will see
and understand why so many of us supported her.
It was a magnificent speech ? I know if I had been her, I could not have
made that speech.  Hopefully, the media
and pundits will show her the respect that she has earned from every
American.  She was gracious and
magnanimous ? more than I can be right now.
She is a brilliant woman and I believe someday she will be a historical
figure in the story of our great country.

I think she should be Obama’s vice president but I know that
it is too soon right now.  If he is as
smart as his supporters say he is ? he needs to pick her.  That may be the only way he can get the votes
of millions of women such as myself.

I have written many articles since the primary season
started ? most of them not very kind to Senator Obama but as of today, that
stops.  For I am a Democrat and I may not
be happy right now, but I will support my party’s candidate by at least stop
writing negatively about him.   I will
use my words and arrows against the Bush administration and other areas of
government where I believe things need to be done.

But ? I will argue with my party about the stupid, silly
rules that we have in our primary system
I do not believe our rules of proportional distribution and caucus
voting make any sense and it will eventually tear our party apart.  These rules were put into place after Jesse
Jackson’s unsuccessful run for the presidency in order to give a minority
candidate the chance to win the party’s nomination.  Well , the rules have worked; so can we go
back to some rules that make sense now?
